After 5 years in the insurance industry, I was ready for something new. I desired a career that allowed me to work with data and research while exploring problems, and their solutions, creatively. Talking this over with a friend in my living room, she recommended that I research UX Design. Once I started reading about this career path, I didn't want to stop. With a natural inclination toward creating flows and the iterating process, I knew that UX Design was the path for me. I enrolled in CareerFoundry’s UX Design course and developed technical design skills in Information Architecture, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and much more.

I'm a lifelong learner and believe in working towards personal growth. As an insurance professional, I learned how to work with people and solve problems every day, which strengthened my project management and collaboration skills. My motivation and discipline come from a passion for continuous learning. I want to grow and expand my knowledge in both my professional and personal life. Using my design skills for good, I want to work on projects that are built with empathy.

When I'm not designing, I can be found playing board games, taking an intro ASL (American Sign Language) class, doting on my pets, or with my nose in a book.
